Merrily we roll along...and back again

Having seen enough of Texas' flat farmlands, we thought we would stay in the Hill Country for a while. The campgrounds in the Hill Country had other ideas.

We chose a park when its add said "You well behaved pets welcomed here". Their idea of a welcome was a $100 fine if a pet was caught off its leash and $75 reward for anyone who reported the offender....not the welcome we expected. Luckily we had not registered and paid before we found this out...since they did not give refunds either...not quite where we wanted to stay.

So after 87 miles are good roads going and 100 miles of really steep, windy roads coming back...never backtrack when you can explore a new path...sometimes good..sometimes not so good!! We returned to the park we had left Sunday morning to stay for a month. This is a fairly nice place...except for the trains. There are two that go through at about 6:00Am with really LOUD whistles. They make a pretty good alarm clock!!

I guess that's on thing to do on a Sunday. Next time, through, I think I'll leave the house and just take the truck for the Sunday drive.
