An uneventful day with the move from San Luis to Rockport...yes, still in Texas. I even drove for a while. I still have trouble keeping my speed up and lost my nerve completely on the approach to a really long bridge. The shoulder of the road offered a safe place to change drivers. And, the truck following me even managed not to hit me even when I signaled first in one direction then almost immediately in the other...I think he knew something was up and was watching for it.
We are here safe and sound. The evening has been a wonderful time visiting with Bob and Ellen over dinner and dominoes...hopefully they will never regret teaching us that game!!
The excitment of the day came in the form of a 1/2 inch worm that I found on me when we returned from shopping. The thing was really pretty...very much like a hornworm..green on top, red belly, larger head and mouth than body...BUT THE SMELL it was emitting was horrible!!
No damage done and the smell left with the creature. I can see why the birds leave them alone!!
