The new year started quietly for us here in South Dakota. We slept through its start. We find that to be a lot safer than driving after midnight with the deer and the drunks...both are inherently stupid creatures that have a knack for wrecking cars.
The first day of the new year was one of celebration. We were able to get the foundation pieces of the foundation walls for the garage to meet AND be the same length on opposite sides. This was a big deal. One we had been working on for several days. We came home and celebrated our success.
Then work stopped for two days. We do have to keep the income flowing!! We're back at it again tomorrow. We have walls to brace and brackets to hang. We're shooting for a concrete pour next Thursday. We always seem to get things done when we have a deadline.
