Mosaic Mom won't understand this with her garden of fresh tomatoes... I'm jealous; but, I struggle year round trying to find tomatoes in the grocery store that have any flavor. Yesterday in the Family Thrift grocery store, I was introduced to kumatoes... what wonderful flavor!!! What a strange color... these "tomatoes" are brown.
As a bi-line, Family Thrift never ceases to amaze me with the unusual products they carry. Although I shop there for convenience and I know things are generally more expensive, I often find that certain thing to make the meal special.
That's really easy to overlook once you taste them. Great for salads or cooking. A definite recommendation to everyone.
