Little known facts... the Eiffel tower was build exactly 700 years after Notre Dame (1863 and 1163.. at least that's when Notre Dame was started.)
She's worth the trip.
We leave here tomorrow for Barcelona... then Denver on Tuesday... then home on Wednesday. It has been a marvelous trip.
After spending fours days immersed in this city, I am going to miss it. Do not believe the guide books when they talk of the French being rude. I have found people here to be friendly and very much like people everywhere in the world... very responsive to a kind word or helpful gesture. People are people... human nature is the same everywhere... we respond as we are treated. Kindness goes a long way even if the two people cannot communicate with words.
