Paris... Day 1

And what a day it was.

First, I want you to see the view from our hotel room... 5th floor. The romm may be a little small; but the view makes up for it!!

Didn't get to see the Pantheon in Rome. Hates that. The description made it sound really interesting. Found a Pantheon here in Paris. Wow was it interesting... The building has been the site of experiments demonstrating rotation of the earth. That was a sight!!!
From there we visited Notre Dame. It was smaller than expected. Maybe it was ALL the people on the site or all the buildings that have encroached in the area. Did not venture inside. The line extended across the mall.

It worries me to think of the damage all these people are doing to these wonderful places. There will comes a day soon that these monuments will close for their own protection. I'm glad we're traveling now.

On to the Louve... after a little shopping at H&M. Finally got to see that poncho I spotted on a billboard in Amsterdam. Not quite my style.

Barely started in the Louve. At least we figured out how to get in and became a little less disoriented.... boy is that a BIG place. Will do that again tomorrow... and the next day... and the next day... and probably still not see it all.

Dinner at a nice sidewalk cafe. Pasta... last night it was Pizza Hut. When you travel, you finally want home cooking... neither was!!
