THis was an experience... arrived 8:30PM. Getting dark fast. Still had to find the hotel... could not even begin to pronounce the name of the street. This was fun... not! A new city can be scary... especially at night.
This is an interesting city. The cars will stop for pedestrians.. the trams will stop for pedestrians... the bicycles don't stop for anyone... even the red lights.
The city is beautiful. Lots of old architecture with designs in the stone work. Everytning moves well for being so crowded.
A tour of the Rijksmuseum... right, you pronounce it. Works of the Old Masters were breathtaking!! The detail... the techniques... the differences... I could have stayed all day just to gawk!!
