Well I want to talk to all of you... but I know I can't compete with Mosaic Mom with her consistency and photos (especially the photos)... so I'll just talk to you and post photos when I can.
So, yesterday help an exciting surprises. Working in the yard I found something red lying in my garden. After three attempt to ignore it, I retrieved it for the trash. Turns out it was what was left of a balloon from St Hyacinth Academy in San Jacinto, CA. Released some time between October 26 and 30, 2009, this balloon made it across the Sierras and the Rockies to come to rest in my yard in Rapid City, SD.
The tag attached asked that you contact the school when the remains were found. I plan to so that today.
I have wanted this to happen since I heard about it years and years and years ago. Never thought that wish would come true. Now it has.... on to the next dream!!
