Started out in a rush having to pick up the tools out of the way of the workers coming to install sheetrock in the new building. The tools were there from the construction last night...until 8:00...without dinner... we figured out how to install a window without removing the siding. Our idea worked really well. Glad to have the window....and now the sheetrock.
So, it's off to town to get more sheetrock...and gardening things... and groceries... and the truck from the shop... Then home again to work with all the supplies.
Not so fast... I get home to a need for lunch for the workmen... help for Rod to finish a spot that needed to be covered with sheetrock... and a lost dog. One minute he was here, the next he was gone and there was a strange dog barking in the distance. Turns out it was the dog in the basement. After 10 minutes in the car looking for him, we thought to look in the basement. He was glad to see us.
Then, back to town for more sheetrock... never a dull moment. Three hours later, we're home in the snow with the sheetrock and dinner. And the cat is ready to go out. Then does not come back...he's usually pretty quick when it's snowing.
So, I go out looking for him and hear a very strange sound coming from... the basement. Cat found. He was glad to see me, too.
So, that two trips to town...two animals locked in the basement... two meals out. Three runs of two. I guess we're done with the pairs...for now. And I still did not get the bean and peas planted!!!
