For two years we had no railing on our deck. We had lightweight deck furniture. Needless to say, we often had deck furniture on the ground where it landed after being blown off the deck.
Now we have a wonderful railing. It's horizontal steel...looks a lot like a fence. Keeps the furniture on the deck.
But, the furniture seems to have a mind of its own. Apparently, it enjoyed falling off the deck. There is one break in the rail that is large enough for the furniture to escape. I have watched the furniture move in the wind toward that exact spot as if it knew escape was possible if it only had a chance to reach that spot.
It's a little eerie!!!
