We spent the time doing so many things that really needed to be done. Things like...building a storage building (I guess we're practicing...and good practice it was)...trenching in water lines...trenching in electrical lines...doing plumbing for the cistern and the house...leveling the floor of the garage (at the dirt and rock level at this point)...and other things that just aren't as exciting as building the house.
But, if we had not done these things, we would not be as close to getting the camper moved to the property as we are. Thanks to the "powers" that make things happen when they should...rather than when we think they should.
So, back to the joists. If you have never seen them when they are delivered...here I am standing on the floor of the house.

On another note..when we first came to Rapid City, I wondered why there were so many car washes. Now I know. There comes a time when EVERYBODY must wash their vehicle. This time of year it's not unusual for them to look like this..

This is what the cats do all day while we are gone. I guess they like each other. Chester really seems to be enjoying Anna's company. Anna is growing like a weed. It's great having her.
