This seems to be my mantra. This time though the work is different...really!
Rod and I have spent the last several days working with the manager of the campground to get things ready for the season. Between the things that were not done last year and the things that happened over the winter, there is a lot to be done. Then we add me and my ideas and there is even more.
Sunday and Monday found me and Sue, the other Workamper wife, washing all the merchandise and shelves in the store. Well, that lead to the need to re-do displays...might as well. Everything is down anyway. That's where it ended last night..with everything on the floor. I have my work cut out for me today.
Rod has done everything from mixing concrete for a post that will protect the corner of the shop...it's a big corner and a little post. It will be interesting to see if it survives the season without being hit considering that the shop was hit twice last year. To..spraying weed killer...which is not working on the main weed that was targeted...but the grass is dying...go figure.
It has turned rainy and cold (30s..no freezes) and threatens to stay this way for several days. We will find inside work to do for a while. There is plenty of that too.
The season "officially" starts May 1. There were 13 campers last night. That's a lot for off season for one night!! I think that someone needs to refigure this schedule.
Wish us luck that we get this place looking good!! I'll keep you posted....and I would send a photo if I were not still in my pjs.
