By definition a blizzard consists of:
35 MPH winds...Blowing snow that reduces visibility to less than 1/4 mile...Lasts more than 3 hours.
We're in for it starting tonight. It has been snowing for several hours now. It's really light, dry snow...that's why it blows. Already been out in it. Visibility is not an issue here in the woods. The wind is more anoying that it is dangerous...at least for now.
Temps are the real issue... -3 tonight...-15 tomorrow night. Nothing above 0 for the next three days. News is warning for folks to stay inside and to bring in pets...I worry about the pets. Jack and chester are in, warn and going out only if physically necessary...and that is less frequent than usual.
Did shopping this morning with everyone else. Glad we didn't wait any later...we were there by 9AM.
Don't worry about us. We're warm and well stocked. Lots of warm cloting on hand for when we must go out with the animals...or to the neighbors tomorrow evening. This is a big storm across six states. The news is talking a lot about it. So far, it's not nearly as bad as they are saying...is it ever!!
We'll see what tomorrow brings.
