Time sure flies when you're having fin...or major dental work. All went well with that and healing is progressing well. That's enough said on that topic.
The heat broke here on Sunday....and it broke with a BANG!!!! Thunderstorms the likes of which I have not seen in years. Not much wind, thankfully; but lightening and thunder to beat the band. Then it set in and rained for two days....this is not normal for this time of year; but you take what you get. It was not too bad with temps only in the 60s by day and 50s at night. Then as the skies cleared, the low last night dipped into the 40s...yes folks it's still July here too!
We went from not having enough air conditioning to keep up cool to the need for heat. I almost put the electric blanket back on the bed but decided that it was over kill for the few days this will last. Two quilts and a regular blanket did nicely. The cat is even sleeping in: snuggled warmly onto the blanket. Yes, it does seem strange for July.
We are moving forward on the house. Calls to the well drillers have been frustrating at best; but we keep trying. With a 6 month window, surely someone will be able to get to this project.
We will work for the next few days getting the campground ready fro the bikers who come for the Sturgis Harley Davidson rally. The manager says that we will be more than full that week. It will be interesting to see where he puts everybody. The week always starts out crazy then settles into a dull roar for 10 days. It's fun to people watch during that event.
Not much else other than normal day to day interactions with lots of nice people, especially the folks who call Rapid City home. We do like it here and currently are looking forward to living here.
