Jack was able to come home last night. He was doing soooooo much better than he had been Monday night when we visited him at the hospital. Now, the highlights of his visit include...
The Dr telling me that Jack had been eating the food really well on Monday; but then on Tuesday, he took the food in his mouth, held it for a while and spit it back out. I like this vet. He was concerned enough to check Jack's mouth well. Finding nothing wrong, he left Jack to his opinion of the food. Jack at it later. I commented "That's Jack. Why do you think I've been feeding him like I have for the past three years?!?!?"
Jack wanted to stand in the back of Nancy's car once I finally lifted him in. this is cute because the seat is at chin level so all you see is his face. I think he wanted his treat for getting in... not that he did any of the work. WRONG... after that vet bill it's really easy to withhold the treats!!
When we got home, Jack jumped from the back of the car and fell on the driveway. Guess he wasn't as strong yet as he through. He recovered quickly and on seeing Daddy ran to him. Not a trot... not a fast walk... a full run. Strength comes and goes.
Then it's in the house... attack the first toy in sight... want to play... so glad to be home. After a really short walk (he was determined to get back into his routine), sleep. No begging at dinner tonight. He slept right through it.
