I know it has been a long time since the last post when I have to sign in... again!! Saw an episode of House on Monday in which one character was blogging another with them both in the same room. That's a little extreme... I am on the other end of the spectrum. So, we'll catch up again.
Since the first of the month, things have been busy.
Nancy... out with knee replacement surgery on March 2. Things went well. She come into the office for a few hours on Tuesday of this week... yes that is only a week after surgery. I realized just how much I had missed her being there. The few hours were a little too much for her. I expect it will be late next week at the earliest before she is up to that challenge again.
Move... Monday, March 1, I was told that we are officially moving downstairs... but still no one was sure when the current tenant was moving out. Hopefully by week's end. Right on schedule they swept the place out on Friday evening. I was in there on Saturday getting started making this space my own.
The wallpaper had to go. Helen helped. We got lucky in the lobby. All of that paper came down easily. The paper in the bathroom was a different story. I think that type of paper is referred to as vinyl over paper. The vinyl came down and the paper did not. Soaking it helped only a little. We scrapped every inch of that room... repeatedly. It was finally all down Sunday afternoon.
Wednesday... tired of not working on the walls downstairs. Helen is anxious to paint. Sent her down today to scrape the walls a little more. The glue remaining on the walls in the lobby came down fairly easily... what a mess. Started with primer on the walls that had paper in an attempt to even out the walls a little... glue residue... scrapes... etc. Started with color on other walls. This is a little more of a job that I remembered from having done it here. Well... more tomorrow. Then carpeting... lights... blinds... hopefully we'll move by month's end.
Work is busy... thankfully. People out. Two wheel drive cars do not do well in snow. More again tomorrow... we'll see who makes other arrangements!!!
