I have no photograph as this may be impossible to capture. So I'll attempt to recreate the image in words.
The temp is really cold... single digits... all day. The snow is fresh and undisturbed.. a field near the road but not near enough to contain highway dregs.
The sun is out. The sky is crystal blue. The air is very dry.
First I notice the sparkle of the sun on the snow. Snow is not just white... it is mostly. Some of it sparkles silver.... may be the way it is lying in the pile.
As I walk and as the dog disturbs the grass around me, I notice the same sparkles in the air. But only in the rays of the sun. They sparkle like diamond dust.
I stood for a long time watching it today. I was afraid to move... afraid that I would not get to see it again.
