Mamma's Little Helper

Anastasia has turned into a wonderful cat....but I had forgotten what it was like to have a young, curious cat around. She is into everything. Unfortunately, she is fearless which keeps her from having a healthy respect for things like the tractor and the truck. Teaching a fearless cat can be difficult.

On one particular day, Anna decided that the marking string we were using was just the thing to play with as it ran across the floor. Here's what she looked like after that encounter...

As for the house, we finished installing the piping for the radiant floor heating and managed to install the manifolds that join all these to the water source....no water in it yet. All the runs tested successfully...YEA!!

Putting down the final decking was slow. We had to draw every place that we could and could not nail into the joists. There are red and black lines all over the place. I hope I still understand them when the next work finally starts.

Snow caught us again with most of the decking done. Luckily we thought to cover the rest of the floor to keep the snow out. The decking and coverings did well as we pushed 7 inches of snow off the sides. Everything was dry again in just an hour or so.

The house will stand like this until we return from Dayton at the first of June. It's hard not working on it; but there is so much to be done before we go.
