some days there aren't any trumpets....
just lots of dragons.
courage doesn't always roar.
sometimes courage is the quiet voice
at the end of the day saying,
"i will try again tomorrow."

This was yesterday with the house. NOTHING we touched went right. It was so bad that we were not speaking by the time we left the site...we know when it is best not to talk. We even had to undo some of the work from earlier in the week. I guess maybe we are a little anxious.
Today however, that courage to try again paid off. EVERYTHING went right...or at least right enough that we can use it to move on to the next step.
The septic system is complete and waiting for inspection. It will be a relief when that is done...or when we at least find out what we did right or wrong...hopefully mostly right...but then, this was our first try and we're just happy that we figured out how to fit everything together. This can be tricky when things are the same size at the joints?!?!? I just kept thinking about Bubba and Jim Bob and KNEW that we had to be able to do this!!!
The well is at about 300 feet and is already finding water. This is great since the original estimate was 400-500 feet. We're almost there!!
Forms for the foundation go down tomorrow. It should get easier from here once they are complete. Maybe we'll have concrete by week's end.
The weather here is gorgeous especially for November. Highs in the 60s and lows in the high 20s. No worry about freezing for several days...YEA!!
