This has been such a strange summer.
Few birds... few bees .... LOTS of grasshoppers.
Few turkeys... few deer although there have been one or two too many.
A garden that stated strong in June then would not pollinate. Now, squash plants that are dying from the roots out. I think there is a problem in the soil. Strawberry plants that are really happy now that it is a little cooler.
Cool temperatures already (50s at night)... and it's only August!!! We'll need coats by the time we get back from the trip. It will be snowing by the time Helen gets back.
It all seems to move so quickly... it's hard to keep up with where the time goes.
