Goodbye

It is with heavy heart that we bid farewell to Mr. Computer's mom who died this morning in Alabama after a long bout with cancer.

Mr. Computer told me a wonderful story involving his mother that only he was witness to.

It would have been in about 1966. She was teaching in the school he attended. There was a faculty vs student basketball game. Computer Mom played. This was the first time she ever played basketball. At the very last second, Computer Mom had the ball at mid-court. In a valiant effort, she "granny pitched"...you know ball in two hands swung down between stooped legs which were used to give the throw extra umph.. the ball toward the basket and made the winning shot!!!

Sounds like material for today's home video shows; but this memory with all its excitement lives on only in Mr Computer's mind. I think I'll ask him about it every few years to help him keep it fresh.

We wish Computer Mom safe passage to the Light.
