We have light. A neighbor said that it's a wonderful day when you can look at your house at night and see lights glowing through the windows...he was right. We had that opportunity tonight. The house was lit from one end to the other. Better than that...all the lights worked when we turned on the circuits...including those I wired!!
Wiring seems to be my job right now. Rod has to tell me when to connect where; but I take it from there and get everything connected. I can remember 20 years ago seeing a girl working as an electrician and wanting to do that. I guess I'm getting my chance now...I wish I had done it then. Last night late, I wired the doorbell and it worked on the first try. You might think that a doorbell should be one of the last things to be done. Well since access to the walls from the ceiling will be blocked with foam insulation in the next few weeks, then no, this must be done now...as is the case for all the wiring, plumbing and anything else that occupies our ceiling.
The heating system passed the pressure test. This is quite a system. Here is how it looked at that point. It will change again in the next few days. We should have heat by mid week...80 degrees outside and we have heat...sort of anticlimactic!! It will be great to have during the spring snows that are sure to come in the next few weeks
