to Georgia would be nice....ANYWHERE but here. Our nice dry South Dakota is anything but this summer. It is raining again tonight after a good soaking last night. As I have said before...don't let anyone tell me there is a drought!!
The house is moving a little slow...given that we can't work when it rains. Also, a lot of what we do is not visible so photos would just be a repeat of that I've shown you. It's hard to convey in words that sense of accomplishment when a wall becomes stable after installing the top plate. That's the kind of stuff we have been up to.
We did get the floor done in the garage (let someone else do that for us...thankfully) and the walls up. The photo shows the house with the garage. Hopefully it will have completed walls in the next day or so. (Click on the photo for a larger image)
We are on our way out to a 4th of July party tonight. You can see the fireworks from Mt Rushmore from our neighbor's windows. Dinner with friends and fireworks will make for a nice evening.
