The wall project has come to a halt at about the 2/3s point. The photo shows how far along we were when the rain began several days ago and out friend's Internet project reached a critical state...I'll post other photos of the work in progress soon.
We are sitting here tonight listening to the thunder and watching a big black cloud blow our way. You cannot convince me that there is still a drought in the Black Hills. Not with as much rain as we have had in the last month.
So, to pass the time, we decided to work on the plumbing. Needless to say, we are not plumbers. We are "learn as you goers". Well, tonight we learned that you must glue the PVC joints BEFORE you put water pressure on them. We did learn that the pump is getting water from the cistern so that line is primed....all over the floor as the connection came loose and water sprayed everywhere. In hindsight, it's funny. We are waiting for the glue to cure before we try again. Pumps, cisterns and pressure tanks....I never dreamed that there as so much to know about getting water.
Walls again tomorrow..hope..hope.
