I see what I wrote last. Let me assure you that my sanity survived... barely!!! I still know 1,2,3,4,5 terribly well.
I have been in show mode for three months now. Adding the extra attention needed to get things ready to go to my normal daily tasks really turns up the pressure. I plan to enjoy the next 10 days to the fullest... even if we do nothing for a few of them!!
The trip started with a plane ride on a new United jet with the fold flat seats. It's like flying in your own little pod... I would show you a photo but there seems to be a band width limit on this connection that won't upload photos... technology is great only when it works!!!
Frankfort was the same... but had lost a little of its charm. I think that now that we live in the city, we don't need another city for the convenience it provides. the drive from Frankfort to Friedrichshafen was uneventful other than being long with traffic congestion.
The show went well. We will, however, NEVER do another show where we do not sell. The marketeer in me won't let me do that. I get them all excited about the program then have to send them elsewhere to buy... NOT. I will have it with me next time even if someone else has to write the sale.
I did make one gentleman very happy... thought he would cry.... I programmed his radio for all of Italy and Switzerland to use for his trip. He was so afraid that he would not get to use his new radio and now he was ready to go!!!
We worked with Anna, a college student working as an interpreter. I thought that would be a clumsy process but she made things easy. I will ask for her again next year... if we come again.
A little more excitement today than expected... we lost our passports!!! I could remember having them last evening on the way to dinner but nothing after that. Turned out they were at the restaurant. They had worked out of my pocket as I had dinner. They were safe and they are in our possession again. I will NOT put them in that pocket again!!! That was scarey!!!
We have eaten at the same Italian restaurant three nights in a row now. Between the repetition and the passports, they know is now. The food is GREAT!!! Let me tell you, cheese is not constipating if you eat good cheese... and this place has really good cheese... and butter... and cream... needless to say, there will be a few extra pounds on the return flight!!
We are on a strange schedule and it's time for sleep again... second time today. I think we're catching up.
