We went from snow to the most wonderful Fall weather this area has had in a long time.
Our neighbor with the compressor came to blow out the sprinkler system on Saturday. He was delighted that for the first time it was warm... and had been warm not only for this yearly ritual but also for putting up Halloween decorations.
70+ on Saturday and Sunday. We can all live with this!!
The system at my house posed the most trouble... go figure. The fittings were not the right size. It almost turned into a "three trip" job... you know, when you have to go back to Home Depot or Lowe's three times for one job. We have had way too many of those. At least now Home Depot is only 1/2 mile away... if that.
So while Rod went to Home Depot, I made lunch for the crowd. Ended up with all the neighbors and the neighbors' dogs in my yard... food seems to do that. Two hours later, success... or as good as we're going to get it... better than it ever was in the past.
