Another thought for today

Watching Mega Movers... moving an oil rig from Africa to Gulf of Mexico. In the details was the fact that off shore oil wells pump 24 billion gallons of oil per year.

Now, that's just off shore. Then there are all the wells in Alaska, Texas, the Middle East, etc. So how much oil is being sucked out of the earth each year.

Ultimately... what is replacing the void arising from the decrease of this mass from below ground???

What will happen when the void becomes too great in one place.... a GIANT sinkhole maybe?

Is this decrease causing more movement of the land plates and therefore more earthquakes?

Makes you wonder.
