It has been really hot here this Fall. Highs in the high 80s for several weeks. No snow yet either. This is a strange Fall.
I think I told you this summer about the deer cooling itself beside the road. Well, apparently there were days this Fall that were hot enough to trigger the same behavior in the animal.
This time I was able to get a photo. The deer posed proudly for us as we shot the photo from the car. Seemed he could not have cared less. He is happy there in the cool, damp dirt... beside the road... in a spot with no escape. Makes me wonder about this guy!!
