Sister Dear gave me a AeroGarden for Christmas. Now, you must realize that something like this in the 70s would have been considered illicit...everybody would have wondered what you were growing. Most folks would have been growing "herbs"...very special "herbs".
Mine is now growing real herbs. Three of them did not sprout so Sister Dear suggested I plant something else in the pods. Of the seeds I had left from last year, the leaf lettuce seemed the best choice. So, now lettuce seeds have replaced the originals. We'll see how this works.
The green basil, purple basil, dill and mint are growing. I can't wait until they get a little bigger so I can use some of them without killing the plants.
I love having the ability to grow...anything...this time of year. This is easier than the summer garden...so far.
